3:20.24!

2/6/09 - New Balance Collegiate Invitational - Armory
Rams are part of history as New Bern, NC clocks National Indoor Record of 3:13.06.  Prep time is school record and fastest for a CHSAA team in 71 years.  That's right, the CHSAA record was set in 1938 by DeLaSalle HS

In an interesting twist, Abington, PA (pictured left) and Fordham Prep were national-class rivals in 1969.  That year, Fordham Prep ran the fastest time in the 4x440 yard trials at the Penn Relays, running a still-standing CHSAA and NYS Catholic record of 3:17.0.  Abington overtook the Rams in the finals, winning in 3:16.6.  Penn Relays History
History was made again on Friday night, as Zach Keefer ran the fastest indoor relay leg in Prep history.  Keefer got the stick in 6th, and passed 2 anchors before nearly catching Abington at the line, stopping the clock at 48.4.
